Indiana Floods

Local church-led relief efforts are underway in central Indiana communities

After catastrophic flash flooding swept across central and eastern Indiana, families found themselves facing rising waters, damaged homes, sudden evacuations, and an uncertain road ahead. Some communities received more than 11 inches of rain in just 48 hours, causing widespread flooding and displacement.

Foursquare churches in New Castle, Muncie, and surrounding communities have mobilized to care for their neighbors. Pastors and volunteers are helping families remove flood-damaged belongings, clear debris, distribute essential supplies, offer emergency assistance, and provide pastoral care to people processing the emotional and spiritual impact of the disaster.

In New Castle, residents of a flooded apartment complex were forced from their homes as waters rapidly rose. Church volunteers have already assisted dozens of families while offering encouragement, listening ears, and prayer during an incredibly difficult season.
To support ongoing recovery efforts, Foursquare Disaster Relief deployed the response trailer from Harbourtown Community Church and provided emergency funding to local churches moving quickly to meet urgent needs. The trailer will remain in the area to support ongoing recovery projects throughout the region as churches coordinate with local leaders and emergency management partners.
