Active Response Underway
Since Hurricane Helene tore through the Southeast last week, the devastation has been overwhelming. Homes destroyed, lives upended—it's hard to comprehend the full scale of the wreckage. Yet, even while the storm was still raging, we partnered with local leaders to brace for impact and immediately begin the recovery process.
We are incredibly proud and deeply grateful for the courageous hearts of our leaders in the Atlantic District and the FDR Responders who have answered the Lord's call to serve. They have stepped up in remarkable ways—clearing debris, mucking out homes, organizing food and supply drives, ministering to those in need, and so much more.
God is moving through local pastors and churches, empowering them to serve their communities with compassion, grace, and strength.
Florida Response
The FDR Truck and Trailer have been deployed to Tampa, Florida, with two team members taking charge of logistics and serving as the main point of contact. Three local churches are actively involved in the response, focusing on debris removal, cleanup efforts, and supply runs in Crystal River, St. Petersburg, and Tallahassee. FDR has also sent funds to support response efforts in these areas.
Carolina's, Virginia, Kentucky, and Georgia Response
The FDR team is also deployed in North Carolina to address the severe flooding caused by the hurricane. The response is being coordinated across multiple states, with local churches providing hot meals and supplies for affected families. Additional funds have been sent to Virginia to support community responses.
