God’s hand was on this mission from the start
Over the last year, FDR Medical partnered with Foursquare Jamaica to bring a planned outreach and training event that was scheduled to take place this week. Even though Hurricane Beryl has brought great suffering to Jamaica, God’s timing proved perfect, allowing our medical team to transition to a disaster response and arrive just in time for relief efforts. As we assessed the storm’s path and received reports from Foursquare Jamaica about the damage, it was clear that God’s hand was on this mission from the start.
Members of our Advanced Lead Team are already on the ground in Jamaica, facilitating food distribution and ministry outreach in partnership with local Foursquare leaders. The medical team will conduct a full medical clinic and continue outreach and ministry efforts over the next weeks.
We received this message from Pastor Richard Davis, National Leader of Foursquare Jamacia:
“Good morning team! Foursquare Jamaica wishes to convey heartfelt gratitude to the FDR Team for the kind assistance being giving to us at this time. The rest of the medical team members are expected to arrive later this afternoon and will join the others who are already here. They will be accompanied by the Jamaican team members. Let us continue to pray for the team as they travel to St. Mary where most of the areas are without electricity and water.
This past Sunday we traveled to St. Elizabeth and were able to hand out food packages and pray for persons needing prayer. Thank you again!”
