Disaster Relief Training
Jay and Patty Donnelly Chaplains and FDR Leaders teach this in-person Disaster Relief Training. The goal is to equip leaders to respond and make a difference in disasters and crises. The Disaster Relief Training is a 16-hour course. The training is vital for anyone interested in assisting in a local, regional, or large-scale disaster, including serving with FEMA, State, County, and local disaster response teams. Training is mandatory for anyone wanting to help with Foursquare Disaster Relief teams at any level.
You will be instructed how to continue CISM, FEMA and other specialized disaster relief training. FDR Disaster Relief Training will provide a Certificate of completion for the 16 hours of FDR training. To be certified as an FDR responder, students must complete an online form after Class verifying pastoral endorsement, a background check on file with their church, and an agreement with the standards in the Foursquare Child + Youth Protection Manual. This training and certification only apply to deployment through Foursquare Disaster Relief. We encourage each church to develop a local team and network with local First Responders so they can be available to work with their community emergency services when disaster strikes.
